Are you or a loved one recovering from a traumatic brain injury? You are not alone. According to the CDC, approximately 1.5 million people in the U.S. get a traumatic brain injury each year, and currently, more than 5.3 million people are living with TBI. Although recovery is absolutely possible, it can be long and hard, and survivors and families may need to access services like occupational/physical therapy, speech/language therapy, psychological, and/or social services.
For Brain Injury Awareness Month and in acknowledgment of those living with TBI, we’ve come up with an A-Z list of organizations and resources that may be helpful. Click on the name of the organization to go to their website.
