Join us in Carson City for HIANN’s Annual Holiday Party and Dinner

Thursday, December 12th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm 

This year HIANN is trying something different for our Holiday Party—a festive Italian Dinner!  You will have three choices for your main course: Beef Lasagna, Chicken Alfredo or Gnocchi (vegetarian).  Minestrone soup or house salad and an ice cream sundae will also be included.  We will begin with announcements and member recognitions at 5:00 sharp so please don’t be late.

There is a large parking lot right next to the restaurant and a wheelchair ramp to get into the restaurant.

Space is limited and HIANN members will have priority for reservations.  Guests are welcome to attend, if space is available, for $50 per person.

Reservations are required and must be made by December 8th.

Please send your reservation requests to Alison Hume at abhumerus@yahoo.com or call(775) 232-2818.  Please be ready with all your party’s choices for entrees and whether you want soup or salad.

If any member or their guests cancel for any reason after December 8th, they will be responsible for the cost of their party’s dinner at $50 per person.

HIANN Movie Night In Carson City On Wednesday, November 27th 

HIANN will be hosting a Movie Night at The Galaxy Theatre in Carson City, free of charge for all HIANN members, on Wednesday, November 27, starting at 6:30 pm. HIANN will also provide a $10 Galaxy gift card to each of our survivors in good membership standing for food and beverages that evening. Come join us for a fun family night to help you get in the Christmas Spirit by watching the movie “Elf.” This PG rated film runs about 1.5 hours.

Seating is not reserved, so show-up a little early to sign-in and get a good seat location.  Guests may attend by paying HIANN’s cost for tickets ($7).

Western Nevada Musical Theatre Presents Legally Blonde

Come join HIANN for an afternoon play  at the Carson City Community Center organized by the Western Nevada Musical Theater Company.

A fabulously fun, award-winning musical based on the acclaimed movie! Legally Blonde The Musical follows the transformation of Elle Woods as she crosses the country to find her true love at Harvard law school, then, to her surprise, finds so much more.  Bursting with explosive songs and  dances -this musical is so much fun, it should be illegal!

When:  Sunday, November 17th. Show starts at 2:00 pm. Arrive no later than 1:30.

Cost: Guests may attend, if space is available, for $33.

HIANN Nutrition and Cooking Class

Nothing-to-It Culinary Center

HIANN invites all members and caregivers to join us for our second nutrition and cooking class hosted by our friends Maggie and Sheri from the Nothing To It Culinary Center. The class will be held at the Center in Reno located next to the Meadowood Mall. Maggie and Sheri are accomplished chefs and instructors and will be sharing their expertise with us and discussing the importance of nutrition and your health, followed by a hands-on cooking demonstration. HIANN participants will be given personalized instruction on cooking a healthy meal. Recipes will be provided along with other surprises!!!!! 

When:  Saturday, June 5th from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm

 Who: Space is limited to 20 participants on a first-come first-serve basis
