HIANN is sponsoring a gardening class in Gardnerville on July 30th from 5:30 to 6:30. Jessica Gardner is a horticulture expert working for the Douglas County Office through the University of Nevada, Reno Extension Program, as the Horticulture Outreach Coordinator. Jessica has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Idaho and a Certification in Ornamental Horticulture from Utah State University. Jessica will     provide us with all the knowledge we need to create a thriving beautiful garden. After a short lecture she will demonstrate through a hands-on presentation for all attendees, how to properly plant a  small edible microgreens garden that you can take home and watch grow. If successful, you just might end up with a nice salad in a few weeks. The class will be held in an air conditioned indoors facility, so you don’t have to worry about smoke or hot temperatures.
